		<description>You are also comparing a decade old technology to a new technology.  Give Blu-ray a year or two, and the price will come down.  As with all technology, the sooner you jump on the bandwagon, the higher the price you will pay.</description>

		<description>People have compared this battle to the old Beta vs. VHS story of the 70&#039;s, but I think the only similarity is the fact that it is a format battle.  Beta was an over-all better standard, but lost out, but this time the better format won. Beta lasted long enough to have several generations, but here, HD DVD barely got into production.

One thing is for sure, Blue-ray is as expensive as it is impressive. In Office Depot, I saw a 25G re-writeable Blu-ray disk (ONE OF &#039;EM) for $30 and a 25-pack of rewritable DVD&#039;s for $8.That&#039;s 5-times the space at 100-times the price. What&#039;s the point?</description>
