Eyemaze is the website that originated, and perfected the grow puzzle flash game. They have just released another grow tower game. It is fun, creative, and a great way to waste 10 -15 minutes!

Alternativeto.net provide a l fair amount of open source options to those pricey programs. Additionally, it provides a user feedback and ranking system, so you get a better idea of the options before you download and install.

This post bares more explanation than I had given. CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) is a web technique used to create the presentation of a webpage. The above homer looks like an image, but it is not. It is a collection of alpha numeric characters that are positioned and colored to form homer. Don’t believe me? Search this webpage for a ( or a 6 – and see where they pop up!

I don’t know how GE did it, but it is real, and fun to play with. Using Flash and some pixie dust, GE has created a program that renders a 3D image that interacts with you in real time. Watch the video to get a taste for it, then if you have a webcam, you must go to the site and see for yourself. Nothing to download other than the piece of paper it reads.

This is a great article about digital cameras, and the race for higher and higher pixel counts. You may not be getting the higher quality you were hoping for..

A digital camera with 12 million pixels is better than one with 6 million. ‘That is correct’ is what you would probably say because you’ve always heard more pixels are better.

It’s not true(!!!), we have to say when it comes to compact cameras. We, the staff of Image Engineering which is an independent testing laboratory that, amongst other things, tests digital camera for the German magazines Color Photo and c’t. Quite a while ago we noticed that the image quality of digital cameras was getting worse instead of better. The reason is that today’s sensors are divided into more and therefore smaller pixels. We want to clarify the consequences on this website.
