Being a partial Cisco shop here at work (yes I am mostly back from the dead), I am familiar with the benefits of PoE (power over ethernet). Until now, it has been restricted to low power consumption items such as Voip devices and AP’s. The UK firm DSP Design, has raised the bar, and has developed a laptop called the Poet 6000 that can run off of the 12 watts provided by PoE.

I want to apologise for my lack of posting. I am at home with a herniated disk in my back. It makes it tough to sit in a chair and find goodies for you. The pain pills are kicking in, and hopefully my physical therapy will ease the pain enough to start posting more consistently. Until then, I will post when I can.
